Analogy/Homology
A. Briefly describe two different species that possess the homologous trait. -Two species that possess the homologous trait would be an alligator and a human. An alligator is a reptile that can live both on land and in water. The alligator has four legs and tail. The human is the sophisticated species that stands on two legs and has the capability of reason. Both these species share a similar skeletal structure particularly in there forelimbs. Just as a human species, the alligator forelimbs contain the humerus, radius, ulna, and carpals. B. Describe the homologous trait of each species, focusing on the differences in structure and function of the trait. Why do these homologous traits exhibit differences between two species ? -The homologous forelimb of the human species is formed from the humerus bone which forms the upper arm, and the ulna and radius which are two bones forming the lower arm connecting to between the elbow and wrist joints. This allows rotation and bending in ...
Issac, I'll provide you with a decode so you can respond to me and complete the assignment.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see any errors in your coding. Well done on the coding process. Here is my decode for reference, with the sentence at the bottom.
DNA: TGACTACACTGAACGTAACAGACTTAGTGTGAGCTGAAAATCTATCCGAT
RNA: ACUGAUGUGACUUGCAUUGUCUGAAUCACACUCGACUUUUAGAUAGGCUA
Codons: AUG UGA CUU GCA UUG UCU GAA UCA CAC UCG ACU UUU AGA UAG
(start) It is confusing to be hungry and think about pizza in class. (stop)
Thank your for decoding my coding! All but one word was decoded properly. codon GCA translates to the word "bad" and not "confusing' like you had decoded. I had thought the random bases in the beginning and the end would throw somebody off. But overall awesome decoding skills and very organized, I appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteLOL! You are correct. That's the first time a student has caught me on an error on one of these assignments. Well done!
